About twenty years ago, our first Staffy, Max, came into our lives and completely stole our hearts. But back then, finding gear that could actually keep up with him was near impossible.
We’ve been there. Trying to find toys that last longer than five minutes, beds that actually support their joints, and treats you can trust. Most of what’s out there is overhyped, poorly made, and full of ingredients you can’t even pronounce.
We got tired of cleaning up toy explosions or coming home to what used to be a couch.
So, we decided to take matters into our own hands.
Where It All Began
At first, it was simple. We just wanted toys and treats that were safe and our dogs actually loved. But we still hadn’t solved the real problem: the chewing.
So, we started hunting for tougher and tougher materials — and along the way, we discovered something pretty shocking: there are very few regulations when it comes to dog toys, treats, or pet products in general.
As health-obsessed dog parents ourselves, that didn’t sit right with us. We wanted to know exactly what went into every product, and how it was made, from start to finish.
After two years of trial, error, and hundreds of destroyed prototypes, we finally cracked the code.
That’s when Chewzilla® was born. Made from our proprietary ToughTech™ Nylon, an ultra-tough material that’s third-party tested and certified free from BPA, lead, and other nasties commonly found in dog toys.

Before we officially launched in September 2022, we spent two years testing, failing, and rebuilding — trying to create toys and products that we could actually stand behind
What started in Tom’s garage with a couple of dogs and a dream quickly turned into an obsession to get it right and do it better than anyone has ever done before
Since then, we’ve outgrown two warehouses, expanded overseas by popular demand, and even picked up a few awards along the way.
But the real win?
Hearing from thousands of dog parents in our community every day who love our products as much as we do — and seeing their dogs living healthier, happier, and more fulfilled lives because of them.
